The Phantom Tollbooth (Thing 2)

We read The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. It's about a boy named Milo who thinks his life is boring, but one day a tollbooth shows up to Milo's house and . . .

Milo steps into his car, inserts 1 coin in the tollbooth, and drives through it. He ends up in "The Lands Beyond" where he meets Tock, a watch dog with a clock on his body. Then Milo meets the Spelling Bee, the Humbug, and many more things in this mysterious world. My favorite character was the Dirty Bird who always takes things literally.

I would give this book because it's funny and well written.

Another 5-star review! I'm glad we all liked this book so much. It was super clever. I liked the Dirty Bird, too! That was a fun part to read together. :)
